BOCW is one of the biggest and a fast growing Industry which is completely unorganized and needs loads of Compliance Parameters to be monitored. We at ComPlus Consulting support the Employers and Contractors to ensure the system and processes in place to have uninterrupted services.
In the absence of adequate statutory provisions to get the requisite information regarding the number and nature of accidents was quite difficult and due to this to fix responsibility or to take corrective measures was not an easy job. To bring in a comprehensive central legislation for regulating the safety, welfare and other conditions of service of these workers, the Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) act (BOCW act) was established in 1996.
ComPlus Consulting co-ordinates to obtain registration for Employer and Contractors under BOCW act; ensures for compliance by preparation of registers, returns, renewal as per the BOCW act. Compliance support is given from the registration till the completion of the construction of the work site.
Role Of BOCW Welfare Board
The BOCW Welfare Boards’ responsibilities include the following:- To provide a recipient with emergency aid in the event of an accident;
- To compensate recipients who have reached retirement age with pension payments;
- To approve loans and advances to a beneficiary for the construction of a home up to the predetermined limit and under the predetermined terms and conditions;
- To pay whatever sum judged appropriate in connection with the beneficiaries’ group insurance scheme payment;
- To provide the recipients’ children with the necessary financial aid for their education as may be required
